Audrey Hazel Isenor Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of Audrey Hazel Isenor (Rector) announce her passing on Wednesday July 8, 2026. Born in Upper Musquodoboit, she was the daughter of the late Cranzwick and Mildred (Farnell) Rector formerly of Elmsdale.
She was the devoted wife of LeRoy for 64 years, married September 22,1961.
She was a mother, friend and confidante to Jocelyn, Leanne and Brian as well as Grandmother to Brandon, Becky and Jarrett.
She loved to bake - most notably white bread pan rolls, butter tarts and Nannie Isenor's jam cookies.
Mom always believed that dress and appearance were important - What you wore should match and to be presentable. It was not unusual for Mom to have her hair done and come home wash it right away.
She was dedicated member of St. George's Church - first singing in the choir, active in the
Guild and finally sitting with Dad during the church service on Sunday's
In the last year, she enjoyed visits from family and friends, listening to stories, smiling and the odd giggle, hugs and holding her hand.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; daughters, Jocelyn (Caroline) and Leanne (Stephen) and son, Brian (Judy); Brandon (Heidi), Becky (Josh) and Jarrett (Nicole); brothers, Wilfred and Billy and in-laws Kay (Lester) Parker, Colin (Susan) Isenor, Bruce (Mildred) Isenor, Heather (Bill) Smith, Mark (Barb) Isenor, Garth Isenor and many special nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister in-law, Joan Rector, In-laws Pearl and Alexander Isenor, sister in-law Frances, brother and sister in-law Karl and Marjorie Isenor and sister in-law Narda Isenor.
At Mom's request, a church service will be held 11am Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at St. George's Anglican in Dutch Settlement, Rev. Patty McKenna officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
Special thanks to the staff at the Meadow for your kindness and support during Mom's stay. Also, thanks to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the Victoria General Hospital for making Mom last few hours peaceful and comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the St. George's Church.
