MASON, David Cedric, age 74, of Enfield, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.  Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Cedric and Jessie (Dillman) Mason. 

Dave was a professional truck driver for 54 years, working for Commercial Truck Centre, Elm Truck Centre and finally Elmsdale Landscaping where he has been employed for the past 20 years.  He loved tractors, gardening and farming. He enjoyed camping with his family.  For many years Dave and Josie hosted exchange students from all over the world and formed lasting relationships with several of them.  Dave was a former Auxiliary RCMP member and a member of the Enfield Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 133.  

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Josie (Logan); daughter, Amanda; son, Bradley; grandchildren, Benjamin and Kathryn; sister, Doreen Lake/Mason; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, John Canning.  

Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.  

A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held from 2 - 4pm on Saturday, June 27, in their home at 339 Horne Settlement Rd., Enfield.
