Wilhelmina A Mostert Obituary
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Wilhelmina (Minnie) Mostert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who entered the Lord’s presence on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 82.
Wilhelmina was born in Onstwedde, Groningen, the Netherlands, on November 28, 1943, to Dirk and Engeltje Degroot.
For more than 60 years, Wilhelmina shared a beautiful marriage with her devoted husband, Koenraad. Together they built a life and legacy centered on faith, family, and love. She was a loving mother, a proud Grammy, and an adoring Oma. Minnie’s devotion and service to the Lord Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and she demonstrated her unwavering faith in the Lord’s promises throughout her life.
Whatever Wilhelmina did, she did with excellence and care. She will be remembered for her beautiful, immaculate gardens; her perfectly crunchy chocolate chip cookies; and her crowd-pleasing mashed potatoes. Her loved ones have many fond memories gathering around her table for holidays and family get-togethers. No one left hungry, and laughter was always plentiful.
She was well known for her unmistakable Dutch wit—sharp, clever, and perfectly timed. Her humor, strength, and caring spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
While her family grieves her absence, they find comfort in imagining the joyful reunion she is now sharing with her beloved daughter, Angela, whom she missed dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Koenraad; her children Gerald (Patricia), Derek (Lori), and son-in-law Scott (Leah); her 12 grandchildren Scott (Adriana), Elisabeth (Ben), Kaitlyn (Marcus), Holly (Cody), Brandon (Hillie), Hendrick, Jenna (Douglas), Alyssa (Donald), Luke (Katie), Heidi (Henry), Jessica (Jacob), and Breanna; 30 great-grandchildren (and counting); her brother, Peter (Sharon); and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory always.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the many people who have helped care for her at home and in the hospital.
