DOHERTY, Michelle Deanne – age 47, of Milford, passed away far too soon on May 22, 2026. She was raised by her parents, Susan and Dave Stuart, as well as Harold Doherty. Her light will be carried on through her children, Lydia and Madison.

Michelle had a natural gift for connecting with people, and her smile truly lit up every room she walked into. She lived life out loud, bringing contagious energy to everyone that crossed her path. She was passionate about her role as a continuing care assistant, with Northwood. She enjoyed spontaneous adventures, crafting, camping, thrifting, and making memories with the people she loved. She was always up for doing something fun. She loved her dog, Atlas, who was her best friend and a huge part of her life.

Michelle is survived by her loving mother, Susan; her sister and best friend, Andrea; daughters Lydia (Jordan), Madison; sister, Lisa; several nieces and nephews, alongside her partner, Shannon.  

Michelle has been reunited in eternal peace and laughter with her cherished daughter, Kaylee Scothorn; her brother, Gregory Doherty; and her beloved stepfather, Dave Stuart, who was a true and deeply loved father figure in her life.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A celebration of her vibrant life will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Friday, May 29th, 2026, at Ettinger Funeral Home, 860 Highway 2, Elmsdale. Words and memories will be shared at 2:00 p.m.
