In Loving Memory of Robert (Bob) Keith Evans

3 December 1944–13 May 2026

Robert passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service and deep family devotion. A dedicated veteran, he served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 33 years. He joined the Royal Canadian Naval Air Branch in 1963, a career that saw him serve aboard numerous ships—most notably finding his sea legs, and many enduring stories, aboard the HMCS Bonaventure. Following his military service, he continued his professional life with a dedicated tenure at the IMP Group.

A man of tradition and community, Bob was a Mason for over 50 years, embodying the values of the fraternity throughout his life.

He was the beloved husband of Marilyn Evans and a devoted father to Deborah-Lynn (Craig) and Michael (Megan). He was a proud and doting grandfather to his "pride and joys," Lauren (Russell), Benjamin, Logan, and Sophia; his love for them was ever-present and unconditional. He is also survived by his brother, Tim (Eileen); his sister, Lana (Bob); and his sister-in-law, Brenda. He was a cherished uncle to Ingrid (Dave), Tracey, Trevor, Christopher (Brooke), Sean (Lori), Robyn (Jay), and Rodney (Cheryl). He will be fondly remembered by a large circle of extended family members and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, George and Agatha Evans, and his twin brother, Ken.

Bob will be forever remembered for his quiet strength, his sharp sense of humour, and his unwavering love for his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the MS Society of Canada.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
