Carl Norman Isnor Obituary
ISNOR, Carl Norman, Carrolls Corner, passed away suddenly with his beloved Wanda and Ethan by his side on May 12, 2026, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Carrolls Corner, he was a son of the late Ronald and Bernice (Herman) Isnor.
Carl was a loving husband, father and grandfather. After completing high school, he obtained a math degree from Dalhousie University and later in life, his Bachelor of Education at Acadia University. Carl was the campus director at Nunavut Arctic College in Cambridge Bay for many years. He had a passion for motorcycles and loved his Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. He purchased a H-D Tri-glide so that he and Wanda could travel together; they enjoyed trips to the Gaspe Peninsula and PEI as well as cruising around Nova Scotia. He enjoyed camping with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Wanda; sons, Randy (Anne) and Terry (Amanda); stepchildren, Leanna (Kyle) and Michael, chosen daughter, Mary Taptoona; 4 granddaughters; 6 grandsons; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Heather), Robert (Marion), Paul and Gordon (Sharon); numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Alice.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 2-4 PM Friday, May 22, 2026 at Ettinger’s Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
