Aurora Rose Bretzer Obituary

Aurora Rose Bretzer (Paul)

December 8, 1992 – May 10, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aurora Rose (Paul) Bretzer on May 10th, 2026, at the age of 33, after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer.

Born to Wanda and Stanley Paul of Indian Brook, Nova Scotia, Aurora had a smile that would light up a room. She was funny, quick-witted, and loving to all who knew her. She carried her culture with deep love and pride and found wonder in everything around her.

Aurora loved the great outdoors. Some of her happiest moments were spent exploring beaches and parks with Athena and Connor.

One of Aurora’s greatest passions was her family and her work as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). She worked in both Nova Scotia and British Columbia, where she continually showed dedication and compassion in providing the best possible care to her clients.

Aurora will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Wanda and Stanley Paul; her husband, Connor; daughter, Athena; sisters, Margaretann (Margie) and Nancy (John); brothers, Neil (Julia) and Jacob; all of her nieces and nephews, cousins, and her beloved fur babies, Jazz, Luski, and Odin.

There will be a three-day wake beginning Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. and continuing May 14th and 15th. The wake will be available for visitation 24hrs a day held at the Sipekne’katik Cultural Grounds Arbour, Indian Brook, Nova Scotia. Visitation will take place at Cultural Cabin #3, 20 Mawio’mi Lane, Indian Brook, Nova Scotia.

A Funeral Service celebrating Aurora’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Sipekne’katik Cultural Grounds Arbour, 45 Mawio’mi Lane, Indian Brook, Nova Scotia.
