Osborne, Steven Lloyd (1978–2026)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Lloyd Osborne, age 47, on April 20, 2026, in Dartmouth.

Born September 19, 1978, Steven was the son of Margery Wagner (John) and the late Lloyd Osborne (2018). He grew up in Enfield and graduated from Hants East Rural High School.

From a young age, Steven enjoyed simple pleasures like bowling and biking. As an adult, his interests developed into creative and more personal pursuits. He had a deep appreciation for music and was often found playing guitar. Steven was also a writer of poetry, using words to express his thoughts and perspective in a meaningful way. His faith and involvement in church were important parts of his life, offering him a sense of grounding and connection.

He was a fan of the Blue Jays and also enjoyed playing basketball and a good game of cards. He valued connection, laughter, and time shared with those closest to him.

Steven lived with mental illness from his teenage years, supported by his faith, creativity, and the people around him.

Steven will be deeply missed by his mother, Margery Wagner (John); his brother, Tim (Christy); and his beloved niece and nephew, Emma and Luke, as well as extended family.

A funeral service will be held at Riverview United Church, Elmsdale, on Thursday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.

Steven will be remembered for his gentle spirit, creative soul, and the meaningful connections he shared with those around him.
