ANDREWS (CROWE), Judith Hunter “Judy” – age 92, passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2026, at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Stewiacke, Judy was a daughter of the late Edwin McLean and Irma Belle (Campbell) Crowe.

Judy was a dedicated volunteer and active member of her community. During her time in Oromocto, N.B., she generously gave her time to minor hockey and Girl Guides, an organization she was especially proud to be part of. In recognition of her commitment, she was honoured to receive the prestigious Thanks Pin from Girl Guides. After returning to Stewiacke, Judy continued her community involvement by starting a Rangers group and later volunteering with the Stewiacke Fire Brigade. Judy also shared her creativity and love of the arts by spending many spring days and evenings creating costumes for Hants East High School productions. She cherished this time alongside her “SEW SEW” ladies, Evelyn and Ethel, forming lasting friendships while contributing to countless performances.

Survived by her son, David (Rachel); daughter, Elizabeth (Aaron); 8 grandchildren, Tanya (Nick), Jennifer (James), Daniel (Jacinta), Alana (Matt), Jacob, Alexa, Aliesja and Brianne; 12 great grandchildren, Jordanna (Cory), Aurora (Brandon), Alec, Anthony, Sophia, Trueman, Taylor, Alanna, Hunter, Lennox, Meadow and Ranger; 3 great great grandchildren, Ronin, Kenna and Emily.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Mary-Lou; 6 special cousins, Ed, Bill, Alan, Russell, Clinton and Mac Kempton; ex husband, Donald; brothers in law, Harry, Richard and Kenneth; sisters in law, Elaine, Madaline, Janet and Emma-Lou.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, April 19th, 2026 at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. Words of Remembrance from the family will take place at 2:20pm.
