ROSS, Theresa Mary – 91, of Horne Settlement passed away peacefully with her loving husband Albert by her side on March 13, 2026. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late John and Lydia (MacDonnell) Benere. She lived her entire life in Horne Settlement where she was very content.

Theresa enjoyed nature, planting flowers and watching the birds. She enjoyed Blue Grass festivals, spent many happy years at the lake camping and when friends and family would drop in. What Theresa enjoyed most was Christmas, especially decorating.

She was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Albert, daughters, Debbie (Chris), Susan (Kevin), son Wayne (Lisa), grandchildren, Leigh, Matthew (Desiree), Ashley (Gary), Tannis (Roman), Rachael, Brittany (Peter), great grandchildren, Liam, James, Sadie, Stanley, Ernie, Wade, Kane, Kaelynn, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Terry, brothers, Willie, Leo, Raymond, Eddie, Dougie and Bernie, sisters, Eileen, Rita, Marie, Dot, Marjorie and Yvonne.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, NS. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to Souls Harbour.
