Matthew Isaac William Joseph Sylliboy Meuse

July 31, 1988 – March 7, 2026

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Isaac William Joseph Sylliboy Meuse, who journeyed to the Spirit World on March 7, 2026.

Matthew was predeceased by his father, William (Bill) Meuse; his Paternal Grandparents Elisabeth (Libby) Meuse and Joseph Meuse; his Maternal Grandparents Joseph Levi Sylliboy and Rhoda Ann Paul; and his Godmother Wanda Sylliboy.

He leaves behind his loving mother Lauretta Sylliboy; his sisters Cherie Brooks, Sylvia Sylliboy, and Louise Meuse; and his beloved son Darius Sylliboy. Matthew is also survived by his godchild Julia Julian. He will be deeply missed by his nieces Alainna, Jennifer, Hannah, Mila, Rayanna, and Mckenna, and his nephews Cody, Carmine, and Cruz, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Matthew was known for his vibrant spirit and creative talents. He was a dancer, rapper, artist, and comedian who loved making people laugh. Even while facing his own struggles, Matthew showed compassion and kindness to others, often being there for people in need, especially those he met on the streets of Halifax and Dartmouth.

Above all, Matthew loved spending time with his family. Whether it was sharing laughs, singing, or dancing together, those moments meant the most to him. His humor, creativity, and caring heart will always be remembered by those who loved him.

Matthew will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Cremation has taken place.  A visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Ettinger’s Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 12, 2026.
