MacLEOD, Earl Chester, age 83, of Hilden, formerly of Nine Mile River, passed away February 21, 2026 at home.

Earl was born in Nine Mile River to the late Jamie and Emma (McHardie) MacLeod.

He worked for Nova Scotia Department of Transportation before retiring.

He is survived by brothers, Alton and Aubrey (Barb) as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sister Pansy, brother Orie, brother-in-law, Cliff McGregor, sister-in-law, Mary MacLeod and special friend Marg MacPhee.

As per Earl's wishes he will be cremated. No visitation. A private family graveside burial to follow at a later date.
