Joyce Ann Goodwin Obituary

Joyce Ann Goodwin

Joyce Ann Goodwin was born on October 7, 1933, the daughter of Edward and Blanche (Nelson) Goodwin. She passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at Northwood Bedford Campus.

Joyce spent the majority of her working life with Investors Group, where she built a long and dedicated career. She retired in March of 1992 after 36 years of service. True to her entrepreneurial spirit, Joyce also opened Ted’s Tack Shop while working full-time, which she owned and operated for many years.

Joyce enjoyed life and remained active throughout her years. She was an accomplished curler and proudly served as skip at the Glencoe Curling Club. She also had a passion for golf and spent many enjoyable years playing at Brightwood Golf Club and then Oakfield Golf Club.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Blanche Goodwin; her brothers Ronald, Garry, and Allan; and her sisters Arlene and Margaret.

She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces: Lisa Keshen of Red Deer, Alberta; Laurena Cox of Edmonton, Alberta; and Faye Coady of Fall River, Nova Scotia. She is also survived by her great-nieces Jessie, Kayla, and Devan, and her great-nephews Stephen and Mitchell.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the staff at Northwood Bedford Campus for their care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.  A graveside service will be held at 5pm on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke.
