Mable Marie Taylor (née Isenor)

December 7, 1947 - January 7, 2026

Mable Marie Taylor passed away peacefully at Arborstone Enhanced Care facility, on January 7th, 2026. Born in Dutch Settlement to Verna and Ernest Isenor, she spent her formative years in Elmsdale. 

Mable was a loving woman, with a lot of care for her community and those close to her. Mable lost her sight many years ago, but it did not stop her from enjoying life and the things she loved. Mable enjoyed playing darts, going camping, hanging out with family and friends, and helping out around her community. She always loved making people laugh. Mable volunteered with the Elmsdale Legion’s Ladies Auxiliary and petitioned alongside her sister-in-law Martha to have the first set of traffic lights installed in Elmsdale on Highway 2. 

Mable is predeceased by her daughter, Vanessa; her brothers, Orie and Bobby; her sister, Francis, and many beloved animals such as her cat, May. 

Mable is survived by her son, Gerry (Shannon), Lantz; her daughter, Leanne and granddaughter, Vanessa, Stewiacke; her brothers, Barry (Janie), Lantz, Kevin (Bev) Lantz; her sister, Laura (Walter), Hilden; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 18, 2026, at the Riverline Activity Centre from 2:00 until 4:00 (80 Grono Rd, Dutch Settlement, NS B2S 2H1).

A private burial of the ashes shall take place at a later date.
