With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our Mom, Shirley Marie Miller at Colchester East Hants Health Center in Truro, on December 26,2025.

Born March 26, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Harold “Dutchie” Mason & Christina (Doherty) Mason. She was a resident of Lantz for 66 years, and was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Benjamin Miller.

She leaves behind sons, Steven (Cathy). of Dutch Settlement, Ron, of Lantz;  daughters, Wendy Crawford, of Whitecourt, Alberta, Jan (Gordon) Estabrooks, of Halifax, Susan (Rennie) Dillman, of Truro Heights;  grandchildren, Chris, Megan, Derek, Nathan, Melissa and Heather; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Gillis, brother Donnie (Theresa) Mason, brother-in-law, Ron Rose; sisters-in-law, Mona Mason, Muriel Miller, Marla (Winnie) Fraser, Dorothy Miller and Yati Mason. 

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin, brothers, Harold “Corky” Robert, sister Eleanor Rose. Brothers-in-law Clarence, Aulay and Winston Miller, and Donald Gillis.

Cremation has taken under the care of Ettinger’s Funeral Home.  As per her wishes there will be a graveside service at a later date ( in the spring when the flowers start to grow).
