Obituary of Audrey McNeill

Katherine “Audrey” McNeill (Doyle), passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2025. Born in Margaree Harbour, Cape Breton, she had a long eventful life.

She is survived by her husband Don, of 64 years; her daughter, Maureen C. McCulloch (Malcolm), Elmsdale; son D. Roy (Beth), Enfield; and daughter, Pamela A. “Pam”, Enfield; two brothers, Lauchlin “Buddy”(Donna), Enfield and John R. “Ray-Ray”(Caroline), Truro; Nana’s seven grandchildren, Kyle, Monica, Katie, Josh, Ben, Gaby and Taya; one great grandchild, Isla; numerous nieces and nephews.  Until we meet again, “Adios Amigos”

She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Agnes Doyle (MacLennan); her father, Leo Albert Raphael “Ray” Doyle; four brothers, Gerald Daniel; a sister, Dorothy Mary “Dottie” Breneol; Angus MacLennan ”Lennie”;  Patrick Albert and James Earl; 3 infants, John Gregory, Dawn Marie and a stillborn baby.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held 6-8PM Monday, December 29, at the Elmsdale location of Ettinger’s Funeral Home, 860 Highway 2, Elmsdale.  

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10AM Tuesday, December 30 in St. Bernard’s Church, 253 Highway 2, Enfield, Father Gerald David officiating.  A livestream of the service will be available beginning at 9:55AM at: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=a72e2585-b742-4a88-a80b-619e8312cfab  we encourage viewers to pre-register to assure being able to view the service live.  It can also be viewed as a recording for several weeks following the service.
