WHITE, Susan Marie, age 61, of Nine Mile River / Enfield, passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2025 at home. Born in Halifax, on March 23, 1964 she was a daughter of the late James and Alma (Horne) White.
Susan started her working career at BJ’s Takeout, making her famous Buttsy Burgers. She then worked for MT&T/Bell Aliant/Bell until she retired in April of this year with 37 years of service. Susie was a giver; she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She loved her family including our sheltie (Annie) her constant companion but we think it was because of the treats she gave her. She had a special place in her heart for her close nieces/nephews, Morgan, Lori, Ben, Scott, James and Julie. She always had a smile even when she was in pain, and when she laughed she laughed all over. Susie loved the holidays; her bedroom was always decorated with more lights than the stars in the sky. Susie will be dearly missed, she is our special Angel in heaven now, our hearts are broken, they will heal and the memories will keep her in our heart forever.
Susan is survived by her siblings, Bill (Leslie) White, Danny (Sandra) White, Sandra White, Geraldine White, Sarah White, Heather (Tom) Ellis, Dawnelda (Robert) LeBlanc and Donald (Dianne) White; sister in-law, Sandra (Wah) White; nieces, Lori, Julie, Meghan, Angela and Shelley; nephews, Ben, Scott, Morgan, James and Mark; aunts, Nancy Ryan and Sharon Rochon, Jean Preeper.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy and her sister, Shelly.
Special thanks to Jeff (our brother by another mother), for being there for us, helping us even when his heart was breaking. To the Paramedic’s, the Nine Mile River Fire Department, the RCMP, who helped us through that day, thank you for your kindness and caring during that difficult time.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger’s Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, December 8th at 10:00am in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Enfield for Family and Friends.
