BARBRICK, Ian Leonard-age 44, of Shubenacadie. It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our son on November 21, 2025, due to a tragic car accident with his best friend and companion, Ruger. Born in Truro, he was a son of Bruce and Joy (Brown) Barbrick.

As his parents, we remember his grin-such a handsome young man. He had a love of the outside, definitely a country boy as he loved fishing and hunting. He liked golfing and got the first hole in one at Rines Creek Park Golf.

Besides his parents, he is survived by brother, Jeffrey (Jesie); nephew, Liam and niece, Ava. aunt, Gail Gilby, St. Albert, AB; cousin, Krista (Wes) Meyerink, Edmonton, AB; numerous aunts, uncles and cousin, and many good friends.

He was predeceased by grandparents; Cecil and Audrey Brown and Bub and Francis Barbrick; uncle, Phillip Gilby.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held 2-4pm Friday, November 28th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada or a charity of choice.
