LIVELY, Terrance Arthur (Terry aka “Livewire”) – age 68, of Truro, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 20th, 2025, at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer, with his wife at his side. Born in Lantz, he was a son of the late James and June (Cole) Lively.
Although Terry held many jobs in his lifetime, his true passion was being a drywall finisher, often said to be one of the best to which he was very proud. Terry was often the life of the party and sometimes the entertainment, whether it be doing one-handed push ups, skipping a broomstick, or walking around on stilts, he could always bring a smile to your face. Terry had a strong love for his friends and family, and no one came above his children and grandchildren.
Terry is survived by his wife, Paula (Dunford); children, Trevor (Kim), Teresa (Justin), Shari-Lynn; step-children, Michelle (John), Nicole (Frank), Michael (Alice), Hilary (Tyler); brother, Ron (Ontario); sisters, Betty, Ontario, and Mary Lynn, Elmsdale; 17 grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends who he considered his family, including honorary brothers, Robin Miller, Kennetcook, David Bell, Musquodoboit, and Steve Garrison, Shubenacadie.
Besides his parents, Terry is predeceased by his sister, Linda Joy in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. As per Terry’s wishes there will be no visitation. Internment will take place at a later date and a celebration of Terry’s life will be held in the coming weeks.
Donation may be made in Terry’s memory to a charity of your choice.
