MANUEL (MacPHEE), Deborah Ruth “Deb”, age 73, Shubenacadie, passed away on November 14, 2025 in the Mira, Truro.  Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Muriel (Ellis) MacPhee and the late William “Bill” MacPhee.

As a young adult, Deb worked at Scott’s Restaurant in Shubenacadie as a waitress and later as a cook.  She looked after children in her home for a number of years.   Deb had a talent for crafts and enjoyed creating beautiful pieces she shared with friends and family.  She was a gifted artist and could paint intricate landscapes and scenery.  Deb enjoyed camping and fishing and socializing with friends.

Besides her mother, Muriel, Deb will be sadly missed by her husband, Michael; daughters, Heather (David) Parratt and Terri Manuel (Christopher Greene); granddaughters, Gwendolyn Hattie Greene and Abigail Greene; brothers, William “Billy” MacPhee and Laurie (Shelly) MacPhee; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Steven. 

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.

A committal service will be held in Brookside Cemetery at a later date. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society.  The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Mira for their kindness, with special thanks to Connie Doran for her advice and direction.  Mike would also like to acknowledge the support of his friends and neighbors during Deb’s illness.
