TREEN, Paige Kathleen, age 17, of Lantz, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2025. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Gail O’Brien and Peter Treen.

Paige was our Warrior Princess. She showed determination throughout her short life and defied the odds on so many occasions. Paige was an inspiration to everyone who had the pleasure to meet her and will be missed by so many. Paige always kept her family on their toes, and she would not have wanted it any other way. She taught everyone to love everything in life and always had her beloved cat Rascal by her side. Paige enjoyed feeling the wind blow through her hair and the sun shining down on her and enjoyed listening to music.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Dakota Treen; grandmothers, Adele Treen and Barbara O’Brien; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased be her grandfather, Thomas O’Brien.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Elmsdale and Shubenacadie.  An informal Celebration of Life will be held 2-4PM February 8th 2026 at the Elmsdale location of Ettinger’s Funeral Home, 860 Highway 2.

We would like to give our heartfelt thank you to all of Paige's in home VON nurses who cared for Paige as their own, as well as the Lantz Fire Department, Paramedics and RCMP who assisted in Paige's final moments.
