Obituary of Alexander George Cyril Mitchelmore

Please share a memory of Alexander to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander George Cyril Mitchelmore "Alex", who was born on April 12, 2002, and tragically passed away on September 24, 2025

Alex leaves a huge hole in the heart of his family where he was loved, is still loved and will be forever loved by his mom and dad, Ann-Marie and Perry and two brothers, Daniel and Chris. His time with us was too short but in that time Alex returned that love freely and openly. His big smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.  He was a warm person to talk with, patient and knew how to lighten the mood with humour.  Alex recently developed a love for golf, in addition to basketball, hockey, soccer and baseball from his teen years. He was a hard worker and excelled in school.

Alex will be forever cherished by his grandparents George (Poppy) and Marie (Nanny) Mitchelmore, Uncles’ Ivan (Maisie) , Lloyd (Cheryl), Chad (Michelle) Mitchelmore and Cyril Fitzgerald Jr. ; Aunts Lorraine Mitchelmore (Kevin), Rosemary ( Aunt Spookie) Fitzgerald, Linda Fitzgerald- Kent (Lorne) and a large number of his cousins. He was pre-deceased by Theresa (Nan) and Cyril (Pop) Fitzgerald.

A private service, by invitation only, will be held on the evening of Monday, September 29. A livestream of the service beginning at 6PM will be available by clicking on “View Service Here” next to the obituary on the website or by using this link: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=35ec1cdc-6071-4e05-8b4b-03c757f6a183   We encourage viewers to preregister to assure being able to see the service live; a recording of the service will be available later using the same link.

Alex struggled with depression and anxiety and lost that battle.  If you wish to express your sympathy, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to organizations that support Mental Health.

Condolences, words of comfort and memories of Alex may be shared with the family at: www.ettingerfuneralhome.com
