HANNAM (ZWICKER), Sherry Lynn -age 58, of Shubenacadie, passed away at home with family by her side on August 31, 2025. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Carol Goswell and the late Richard Zwicker.

She was a devoted fan of stock car racing, never missing an event as she traveled with Jamie and her extended racing family, camping along the way to follow the tour. Sherry found joy in life’s simple pleasures, and she loved game nights with her best friends in the winter months.

Sherry worked in retail all her life, employed with many businesses. She was a business owner operating a consignment shop in her garage years ago and recently ran “2 U Like New” in Stewiacke and Elmsdale for 6 years.

Besides her mom, Sherry is survived by her companion and soul mate, Jamie Rines; daughters, Alicia and Danica (Dan); stepsons, Matt (Brandy) and Scott (Mickayla);grandchildren, Kyleigh, Isaac, Paislee and Addi; sister, Kathy (Carl); nephews, Brian, Jason (Janet), Gregory; several great nieces and nephews; stepbrothers, Jeffery (Randy) and David (Debbie), whom she thought of as her brothers, and her aunt, Carole MacPhee.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Harold Goswell, her grandparents, Harley and Clara Zwicker and Doug and Vera Singer,aunt and uncle, Faye and David Curry and uncle, Burton McPhee.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 1-3pm Saturday, September 6th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Refreshments will be served. A graveside service will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating.
