It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Regina Joan Morash, age 93, who left us peacefully on August 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 5, 1932, in Enfield, NS, Regina was the daughter of the late Forrest E. Garden and Mary R. (Horne) Garden. She grew up in Enfield, where she developed lifelong friendships and a deep love for family and tradition.

Regina married Gordon L. Morash, and together they built a family and a life full of love. In the fall of 1961 (November 22), Gordon, Regina, and their three children—Paul, Reese, and Shawn—followed in the footsteps of her brothers Elroy and Gerald Garden and moved to Prince George, BC. There, they welcomed their fourth child, Joan Marion, on February 28, 1965.

Regina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was centered around her children and her faith. She loved music and dancing, and she touched many lives with her kindness, sharp wit, storytelling, and generosity.

She is survived by her sisters, Kathleen MacDonnell, Joyce Carroll, and Marlene Underhill, all of Enfield; her children, Paul (Carol)(Kelowna, BC); Reese (Kelly) (Halifax, NS); Shawn (Susan) (Prince George, BC); and Joan (Bob) (Prince George, BC); her grandchildren, Lisa, Shana, Rebecca, Annalise, Drew, Katie, Nate, and Quinn; and her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Teagan, Gabe, Nigel, Shaelyn, Bodhi, and Tavi, who brought her immense joy.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, Regina was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; her brothers, Jerome, Rayburn, Carl, Gerald, Elroy, and Carl (in infancy); and her sisters, Ruth, Virginia, Audrey, Margaret (in infancy), Florence, Alma, and Marlene.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes. A graveside service will be held 2:30pm Thursday, September 11th at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Enfield. All who knew and loved Regina are warmly invited to attend.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at Magnolia Continuing Care in Enfield for the love and care they provided over the past year, as well as to the staff and caregivers of Colchester East Hants Health Centre, D Wing and E Wing, Palliative Care.
