WOOD, Iris Oudett – age 62, of Amherst, passed away on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Amherst she was a daughter of Theodore and June (Remington) Taylor.

Iris loved her job at the Super 8 and her coworkers. She bought herself a new vehicle for her Birthday last year. She finally got to go to PEI with her sister, Henri and her children. One of her favourite events was the Taylor Family Campout every year.

Iris is survived by her brother, Ronald (Liz), B.C.; sisters, Debra, Shubenacadie, Megan (Brian), Bridgetown, Lynette, Hovelock N.B., Henri (Bill) Amherst; many nieces and nephews whom she was a favourite aunt to many and had so much patience for them all.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wylie; brothers, Derwin and Tony; sister, Daffodil.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.
