BENEDICT, (ASHLEY), Ferne Beverley – age 90, of Lantz, passed away August 7, 2025 in The Magnolia, Enfield. Born in Lantz, she was a daughter of the late Blanchard and Anna (Isenor) Ashley.

Ferne was employed at MT & T for 33 years working in several roles during her time there. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren after retirement. Ferne was a giving person who donated to many charities. She looked forward to family barbeques and going for drives in the car. At Christmas time, she loved to go out and see the lights and decorations.

She is survived by daughter, Jamie (Jake) Cantfell; son, Troy; daughter-in-law, Trina; grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Justin, Travis, Ashleigh, Tyler and Brandon; brothers, Reid (Carolyn), Murray (Linda); several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Laurence; son, Boyd, daughter in-law, Donna; brothers, Wayne and Dwight; sisters, Diddy and Kaye.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-8 Sunday, August 17th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a funeral service will be held 2pm Monday, August 18th, Rev. Dr. Jane Magrath officiating.

Family flowers only. Donations in memory can be made to a charity of choice.
