Our deepest sympathy and condolences on the loss of your father and friend. We always loved when Ron would stop by as he was a wonderful story teller and always was trying some new health diet or pill. He tried to convince us we should stand on our heads and once phoned me up late at night to ask me if I ate cabbage. He had been reading something that was all about how cabbage was the best way to create healthy gut biomes. The last time I saw Ron he was very excited as one of you was living out in BC and was sending him vitamins so he could live well into his 90’s. Ron shared a love of Lake Egmont. He cared about the balance of nature and visited all the waterways that fed into the Lake to make sure they were protected and clean. He loved listening to the songs of birds and often would just lay in his canoe and float aimlessly under the stars. Ron was very open minded and curious about life. He was a constant learner and loved to share his passion for life. Lake Egmont will not be the same without him and he will deeply missed. We will plant a beautiful oak on our land in a magical spot in his honour. I know how much he loved you both. He loved to tell stories about many things but nothing made his eyes twinkle with pride like the stories he told about the two of you. Our love and sympathy for your loss.
