Obituary of Brian MacInnis
Brian MacInnis
1961 - 2025
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Brian on June 20th at the age of 64, taken from his family far too soon.
Brian was the loving jokester part of our family. His presence will be missed every day by the love of his life Darlene, who he cherished for 38 years, his daughter/buddy Sara and son in-law Logan Jones and his grandchild, Aiden who made him a Poppy. He will also be missed by his extended family especially at our many family gatherings including Darlene’s mother Gerry and late father Joe Williams as well as siblings Wanda Queripel (Mike), Murdoch Williams (Roblyn), Jamie Williams, Eleanor Michalik, nephew Matthew Queripel, and niece Erin Williams.
Brian is also survived by his special sister Christina and siblings Maggie, Theresa, Valerie, Wanda, Patricia and Kelly as well as his many aunts and uncles. Brian was predeceased by his mother and father Edie and Sandy MacInnis, brothers Billy, Alex and Kevin, and sister Patricia.
Brian spent his career in the military. After he retired he moved on to many other jobs including the Community Rider where he loved to socialize. Whenever you needed him you could count on him helping out with his handy skills and his need to fix things. Brian showed love by teasing and joking which kept you guessing if it was true or not. Brian’s love for his family was unparalleled and we are so grateful for the time we had with him.
Brian has been cremated as per his wishes and a family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made through CanadaHelps: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/19070 to the East Hants Community Rider.
