RIP Danny. We played hundreds of rounds of golf together including winning a 4-man scramble on my wedding day. We had so many laughs and lots of Habs vs Leafs arguments over the years. I miss those days at Ashburn, pretty much every Saturday / Sunday morning from May til October.
You were such a wonderful guy and such a great family man. You will be missed by so many

Janet, Kristie and Jarrod - I am so sorry for the loss of Danny. It is hard for me to think of a time in my life when he wasn’t there. I have so many memories that include him and each of you and they are truly some of the best. He was funny, kind and always there to help. From making mixed tapes for our family road trips to showing up and recording radio commercials at the kitchen table, there was always something on the go with Danny. He was also such a great friend for my dad. They shared so many common interests and were truly great friends for each other. I have kept in touch and relied on him in recent years for car questions, having someone to commiserate about the Leafs with, and as someone who could always be counted on to make sure I knew my dad was never forgotten. I truly have a place in my heart for each of you and am terribly sorry for the loss of such a great man. Sending love and strength in the weeks and months ahead. My sister, Nat the Brat, may disagree but he sure got our nicknames right ;) Love Mel the Belle

So sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. He and Phil coached me in Bantam hockey, and I spent many days on the golf course with him in the years after. He was a special man, he helped you out to the best of his ability - sometimes even when you didn’t ask! A great man, a great friend. I cherish his memory. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I often think of his love for children especially very little ones. At our family gatherings he would hold and play with the babies and had such a gentle way with them. You could feel the love that he had. I am sure many people have said to you to "hold on to the memories " and although some will make you miss him more be grateful for the many that you shared. Hugs to all of you..

Dan was a friend and co -worker for 45 years and a great loss to all who knew him. Dan asked little for himself but only what he could do for others.
Harness racing, fishing snd work in the advertising career, he was always at the top of his game.
His fierce love of family and loyalty to friends was his legacy. He will be sorely missed but always remembered for the kind and compassionate way he lived his life.

Very saddened to hear of Danny's passing. Danny and I (David) were inseparable childhood friends. We spent most days in the summers fishing in the river or catching gaspereau at his Dad's wharf, swimming at White's swimming hole in the river and walking many miles on the railroad tracks. Always had lots of fun going to the racetrack with Dan and his Dad. So many great memories that will always be remembered! Sending heartfelt condolences.

My thoughts of Dan mailman go way back to the days when he worked in radio for Clary Flemming and I worked as an advertising coordinator for Sobeys.
We had a weekly job to do, produce radio commercials, I fed the weekly information to Dan and he took it from there, until it made it to air!
He made my job easy, every week!
Always a gentlemen!
To his family and friends,
I am sorry to hear of his passing,
He will be missed I am sure.
Hugs

Jan, Kristie and Jarrod,
We were so saddened to hear of Dan's passing. It's hard to find words that will provide you with the comfort you need at this difficult time. We have so many great memories of times our families spent together. We will miss Dan's fantastic campfire stories that we always shared with others. Take comfort in knowing that Dan will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who was fortunate enough to hear those stories second or third hand and especially those who could count him as a friend. He was a true gentleman and loved his family deeply. We feel honoured and privileged to have had his friendship and we share the depth of your loss. Our deepest sympathies.

We are so very sorry to learn of Dan's passing. He sure had a knack for showing genuine interest in people. It would be a rare encounter if the chat did not turn to caring questions about someone we mutually knew. I loved that he always took the time to stop and chat. The last time I saw Dan was at the Band office when he dropped in one day unexpectedly and made a point to seek me out for a quick catch up. That part of who he was is something we should all aspire to. The gift of ensuring people felt seen and heard. Many fond memories for sure. Sending love, hugs and prayers to the entire family at this difficult and sad time.

My dad always said a long obituary where you learn something about the person is one that must be about someone good. He wasn’t wrong. I’m still in shock about Danny being gone. Far too soon. He's in good company with my Dad, though it seems unfair that a couple of the good ones are gone. He always would stop in and say hi when he saw me at work and the first winter after my dad passed, he took me to buy a set of winter tires and even got me a better deal. I will think of him fondly and can still hear him calling me “Nat the brat”. He is so missed already.

I'll always remember Danny as part of the family who spent many hours at our house. He told me of the many crib games he played with my Dad. The eulogy he wrote and shared at my Mums funeral was touching and heart wrenching. Thank you Dan. Rest in peace.

Dan was an awesome human with many a funny story that some would think not true but yes they were. Loved his strong spirit and when we talked hockey it was the Leafs or nothing no matter how bad they played. Funny fact about Dan's home was it was the first home of Brad Marchand who played for years for my favorite team the Boston Bruins. I used to say Dan the Leafs will never win a cup with you living under Brad's roof.
I will miss you Dan and our chats. You did well my friend in this life and will missed dearly by many.
