Rodger William Doucette Obituary

DOUCETTE, RODGER WILLIAM – age 81, of MacPhee’s Corner, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Peter and Carolyn (Goodwin) Doucette.


 


Rodger had a strong work ethic and pursued numerous professions throughout his life, including serving in the Navy during the 1960’s, driving a taxi and plumbing, (to name a few). However, in his spare time he thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing.


 


Rodger is survived by his sons, Michael (Glenda) and Vincent; grandchildren, Shawn, Deon, Kayla, Lucas, Yvonne; 7 sisters; 3 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.


 


Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Philip; sisters, Barbie, Carol and Jean.


 


Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.


 


The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the E3 floor at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
