I just learned of Ken's passing and I'm totally shocked. I will miss our long talks and phone calls to let me know of the upcoming suppers at the hall and all the adventures that Ken had been through in the previous weeks.. It was with shock and sadness that I learned of Kenny's passing. I have many good memories of Kenny as he did several renovations for Ross & I. Beverley and I send our deepest condolences to Rowena and family and Sheila and family. I moved out west many years ago so my memories of Kenny are from my younger years. One was when Kenny was around 18 or 19. He drove to Ontario for work (I think). On his way back he stopped at a roadside and found two baby raccoons trapped inside a garbage container. He brought them home and gave one to Rod and I as a pet. I remember one winter Rod and I helping Kenny logging. Kenny would pick us up early on those cold mornings and drive to a little barn on a back road to pick up the horse. We would hitch up the horse and make our way to the logging site. There it was a three man operation, Kenny felled the trees and limbed them, Rod snaked them out with the horse and I piled them. It was cold and around noon we would start a fire to make tea and the three of us had lunch together. Those were simpler times that hold special memories! God bless you Kenny.

Sincere condolences to Rowena and Family...in our time at the Grant we considered Kenney to be a friend as well as a neighbour. We lived in your first home and Ken was gracious enough to install a steel roof for us at a price few would believe - I think the old place held a special place in his heart and he loved to tell us the details of how, when and where he'd gotten it. Over the our time we met off and on many times and we always chatted like we'd been lifelong friends - that's just the type of person Kenney was - open and accessible friendship was his way of life. The description of him as a worker, spot on; but only the tip of the iceberg..I (also a Ken) personally teased him at every opportunity that he just couldn't seem to stop for a breath or a rest even after the accident that hurt his leg. He was simply a darn good person R I P Ken.

Kenny would always be there to help out and always had a smile and joke to make you laugh. He could put his hands to use at just about anything. He liked to share his vast knowledge of home repair and maintenance. He was a great mentor and friend to many. He was loved and will be missed.
