Obituary of Sheila Joanne Crowe

CROWE, Sheila J. – 66, of Debert, NS., passed away peacefully April 25, 2025 in the CEHHC. Born in Georgefield, NS., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Clark) Ettinger.

Sheila went to school at Hants North and then to Hants East.  Upon graduation she went on to Truro Vocational School and completed the course in hairdressing. Sheila worked for K-Mart and Zellers. She enjoyed road trips with family and friends. She loved family gatherings, especially Christmas, going for drives, eating out, spending time with family and friends and she was extremely strong willed.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Wilfred; sisters, Judy Lively and Marilyn (Everett) Clark; special cousin, Kelsey Cochrane; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 7, from 6 – 8pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 2 pm on Thursday, May 8, both in Ettinger Funeral Homes, 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, NS. Cory Lunn officiating. Reception to follow. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery, Upper Nine Mile River.
