My heartfelt sadness and condolences to the McDonald and Petersen family on Joan’s passing. She was indeed a special person, beautiful inside and out. I worked with Joan at the Health Centre where she was the receptionist. We shared many laughs and I enjoyed listening to her stories about life in Boston and her children growing up. It was never the same after she retired. I always cherished our friendship. I last saw Joan at her 80th Birthday celebration at Legends….what a wonderful event. My daughter came with me and we shared a table with Joan. She was so happy that day with her large extended family present. Joan and I communicated on Facebook and I missed this when her computer broke. I planned on visiting Joan in the spring at her new home, but that was not to be.
I will miss you, my friend….rest easy now in Heaven, reunited with all your loved ones that went before you. God’s blessings on you, dear Joan.
