Obituary of Bernie Myra

MYRA, Bernard Francis “Bernie” – age 72 of Elmsdale, passed away on April 11^th, 2025, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Edward and Selena (Wagg) Myra.

Bernie worked for Maritime Paper for over 20 years. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and NASCAR enthusiast. Bernie enjoyed fishing and going for drives to sightsee.

Bernie is survived by brothers, Wayne, Ray, Leonard (Theresa); sisters, Judy and Sheila; many nieces and nephews; one great niece and one great nephew.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his partner, Elizabeth “Betty” Small.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. No service by request.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bernie’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
