
Obituary of Judy Hunt
HUNT (WALLACE), Judy Ann, age 64, of Coldstream, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 4, 2025. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Aldon and Pauline (Phillips) Wallace.
Judy was the much-loved matriarch of her family, and family was everything to her. She was a proud wife and mother, but her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest treasures. She loved animals, flowers, plants and nature. Judy was an avid bingo player. She worked for a number of years at the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park as a park attendant. Judy also was employed as a mail carrier for Canada Post for a time.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Walter; children, Stephen (Jennifer) Hunt; Sherry (Chris) Tilley; Crystal (Jason) Waye; Holly (Jason) Rafuse; Bradley (Amanda) Hunt; daughter-in-law, Kim Hunt; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Barry Wallace(Lisa Benoit); Debbie Wallace (Ross Negus); Wade Wallace (June Snyder) and Sandra Wallace (Donnie Boutilier); her good friend, Sherry Joyce; many brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Walter; sister, Sheila Wallace; her in-laws, David and Celia Hunt.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in Ettinger’s Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where the funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, Pastor Connie Stewart officiating. A reception will follow in the West St. Andrews Community Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to a GoFundMe account set up for the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
