I remember being the new kid at Stewiacke elementary and Isabelle and I becoming inseparable from the day we met. There was this one time we went fishing at the end of our road; we must have been 11 maybe 12 and Isabelle fell in the water (winter time of course) we obviously got her out. I often think of this memory! Forever my friend, love you! If anyone could would you please let Jim know how sorry I am for his loss and Isabelle’s partner as well! You all are in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Deepest condolences to family and friends. I’m still struggling with the fact that our dear Isabelle is gone. I worked with Isabelle for quite a few years . We started the Palliative Care Unit together. Isabelle was such a sweet and caring person. She was a very good friend to me. Her love and support over the years will not be forgotten. Life is truly unfair sometimes. Rest easy dearest Isabelle until we meet again someday. You will be forever in our thoughts and hearts.

Exactly one week ago at this time, I answered your call and we chatted about so many everyday things..our friendship, relationships, your Dad and adventures, Christmas & the gifts and things that needed to get done, appointments, a plan to visit Lenora & go to the beach in search of beachglass, then go back to the camp and sit with Mila (after she’s been spoiled with your Dad!) to enjoy an evening of relaxation and enjoy the Christmas holiday.
We decided on crafts we wanted to do for next Christmas and spoke of plans for ‘building our dream’ & January 2022 and the upcoming year to ‘live life’!
The next morning I sent a meme in support of you to advocate for yourself, as you had advocated for so many..Isabelle.. ‘you got this’!
Dad, Mila & Family (because that’s exactly what Isabelle thought of us all..Family)
We are grieving a beautiful soul..May you rest and watch over the dreams being built and lived!
I know you are with your Mom and Grandad; and are keeping Mo & Pea safe with you.
Until we meet again my dearest sister by choice..the grief I am feeling is a tribute to our friendship.
So thankful our last words were..’I love you and I’ll talk to you tomorrow’.
Xoxo

Not sure how to word a story so beautiful, you blessed my family with so much, from protecting my boy in our time of need, to helping bring my little lady into the world. Your support and friendship meant the world to me. So many people have reached out to tell me about, their loved one that you made comfortable, all the hands you’d held and tears you’d shared with them, everyone so appreciated. Your loss is felt by many just as your love was. Thank you so much for all you did for me and mine we will talk of you often. May your supply of macaroni, cheese and tomatoes be endless and the fish always biting. Love you. Thinking of you Mark, Jim, and families

We were blessed with knowing Isabelle, only for a couple years, but in that very short time she became a treasured member of our ‘Wentworth Family’ who we love dearly. She had a way of lighting up a room with the most beautiful smile. Her kind demeanor, gentle soul, twinkling eyes and genuine friendship will be treasured forever. Her honesty, uncountable positive comments and gifts of time in our lives will be forever valued and missed. We ache with those who were blessed with having her in their lives and can’t imagine Wentworth without her. Someday the ‘ugly cry’ will stop and be replaced with warm smiles, full hearts and fond memories. The Wallace River will most likely be one of the places her spirit will be felt forever so we will plant a tree in her memory on that river bank, tend to it so it can grow strong and live on in her physical absence. To those who were a part of shaping the beautiful person Isabelle grew up to be, thank you. We are grateful for having had her in our lives, feel cheated of more time with her and deeply sorry for the pain her absence is causing for so many. I can only imagine that if ‘Izabizzle’ could share some words right now that she would be saying she left this world happy, so very happy and is grateful for the time she had on earth. Hugs to her Dad, Mark and all those who love her. Given she was angelic on earth (appearance and action), I can imagine she’s already in some kind of leadership role in her afterlife making her opinions known, helping others and sending her love…

Dear Isabelle's family,
I am so sorry for your loss and am thinking of you all.
I met Isabelle on our first day of high school and she was a friend to me ever since. We were both country kids and bonded quickly. While we hadn't seen each other in years, we always exchanged messages on birthdays and around the holidays. I still have an ornament she gave me in high school and just last year she told me she still had a set of wooden Christmas letters I'd made for her. She was among the first people I ever came out to and her kindness shown then lasted throughout the years. I'm so so shocked and saddened by her passing. I will miss her and remember her for the rest of my life.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Travis

To the families of Isabelle
I knew Isabelle since she was a little girl. A few years ago we met up as I was walking down the hall in Palliative Care at the hospital in Truro. I knew who she was and I could tell she recognized me, and that beautiful smile and her warm greeting reminded me of years gone by. We had a wonderful conversation and I left there thinking I hadn’t seen her in years but we both chatted like it was only yesterday.
I was shocked to hear that Isabelle had passed away.
I’m so sorry for your loss and hope that all the wonderful memories that you share together bring you peace and comfort.
Thinking of all of you at this difficult time

Jim, Lenora, Valerie, Jimmy and Mark, Please let me start by saying this is the hardest thing I have ever had to write. My condolences to everyone. I have always thought of her as one of my daughters. I know how hard this is for me to understand and know it’s so much harder on all of you. She had a heart of gold but a temper like the Tasmanian devil. But loved by all that knew her. I will miss her as much as I miss her mother. But knowing she is back in her mothers arms helps. Please know I am thinking of you all at this difficult time. Hugs from me to each and everyone of you. Love Sherry and John
