Dan, Stephen, David, Vangie and all your family,
I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. My sincerest thoughts and prayers are sent to each of you as you must endure this great loss. We who are blessed with good Mothers are truely blessed! Your Mother was a very thoughtful and kind person to many in our community. I personally have been gifted with some very special memories of her. As a new substitute teacher in 1974 your Mom was very welcoming and supportive to me. She shared her experiences, her strengths to help me gain confidence and experiences. I truly appreciated all her kindness to me, and as well how she always put a request in to Sister Mary, for me to cover any days she had to be away from her class. We began a special friendship in those days that remained over the years.
I have missed seeing her regularly, since our move, but when ever we met up, it always was a mutually joy filled catchup chat.
In my years with Serenity Lodge your Mom was so kind to all our residents and our staff. Her Riverview family has had a great loss with her passing.
She was loved and appreciated by many in the area, including me/us.
Sending love and hugs to each of you. Once again this horrid Civic -19 has robbed our community of truly celebrating your Mom's life together.
I can only imagine the celebration of your Mom being reunited with your Dad, Cathy,Murray, Jeanne and all the others for the reward of eternal life.
Christine (McKeen) MacAskill. ....and Wayne too

I will miss the sweetest lady ever. I remember going with my mother, to pick my sister up from school, when Mrs. Mailman was her Primary teacher. I also remember when Working on the wharf, all the delicious food she brought for us. I remember going home with her by helping her bring in her groceries or whatever else she needed brought in. She will be missed by me, greatly. My heart goes out to all the Mailman Family.

Marjorie taught me in the one room school house in Urbania and eventually taught my 3 children. I also remember as a child attending her wedding shower.
Marj was a gentle soul who cared deeply for all her students. She had the ability to make every child feel special with her soft spoken voice, her way of working each student through their attributes and/or disabilities and yes even her hugs. She always had that wonderful smile that flowed through her eyes. Such fond memories of a very dear lady. She will be missed. Sending condolences to the family

To the Family of "Mrs. Mailman"....She will always be "Mrs. Mailman" to me......even though she was like a mother in primary for me and I am sure others. She made introduction to school easy. She was a very strong woman and was always very loving...
Here is a verse from a card we received when our Mom passed..
"they never meant to hurt you by leaving...
It was just their time to return to God's embrace...
their chance to be healed of all their aches and sorrows.
And yet, they haven't stopped loving you for an instant"
Thinking of you all....sincerely, Mary (Solowij) and Dan Kelly

My sincere condolences to your family, my thoughts are with you.
Although I had never met Marjorie - Steve was the very first person I met at HERH in the Guidance Counsellor’s Office, registering for classes after moving to Milford (from Dartmouth). I also knew Jeannie and knew of Murray during high school. It’s through Marjorie’s children whom I knew, that I can imagine the wonderful mother she was, in raising all of her amazing children. May she Rest In Peace and her family cherish her memory forever.

Sending sincere condolences to all the family in the passing of Marjorie - I have so many fond memories of her and the Mailman family from growing up in Enfield, and later our children growing up with some of her grandchildren too. She was my teacher when I went to Grade Primary at Enfield District School and my son was in her Primary class in the year she retired, so full circle. It was a privilege to have her for a teacher, and later to know her as as adult in the school and community. I am so pleased to have seen her just last week-end, even briefly and with our masks on. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was so proud of her family and it showed in many conversations we had through the years. Cherish the memories and know our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.
Take care and God Bless you all,
Michelle, Peter, Jodi, Trevor & Ian

Our deepest sympathy to Marjorie’s family. Your mom was one of the first people who welcomed our family into Riverview back in 1989. Being in her presence made us feel like being home. She gave out the best hugs!! Her beautiful smile and twinkle in her eye were seen each week from where I sat in the choir. She always took such an interest in our kids and they loved her dearly. We all mourn her passing but are so blessed to have had her in our lives. May she enjoy her new Angel wings.

My heartfelt condolences to family and friends for the loss of such a wonderful lady who has touched so many lives. She was my Grade Primary teacher in 1975 and she made the scary newness less scary. She was an amazing teacher but also very caring. She scooped me out of a ditch on Canada Day bike parade after some jerk pushed me in. She cleaned me up and drove me to the finish line to collect my silver dollar. I never forgot that kindness. Such a great lady who will be missed.

To Marjorie Mailman's family
My husband and I have been a member of Riverview United for a long time. She was there when we transferred membership. She has been there whenever she was needed. Yes, she was devoted to her family and her church. God has taken a very special lady from us. We need to carry on what she has taught us all - we are all family, help each other as best you can. She will be greatly missed at our UCW meetings and all the functions she was part of. Someone will definately have to take her place at our dessert tables. She is at peace looking down on us to see if we follow her leads. We are so sorry for your loss. Another angel shines over all of us. God bless. Raymond and Emily Black.
We will be making a donation to the church in her memory.
