Dear Zella and family, Dayrl and I, along with Jennifer, Jackie and their families, send our sincere condolences on the passing of dear Bill. When we were dating, Dayrl often spoke of his sister and her husband being in the military in Germany and that they would soon be coming home. I was eager to meet them and was so pleased to see that they were very accepting of Dayrl's new girlfriend. As the years went by, we observed their military career, always eager to receive that well-informed Christmas card, complete with family pictures. Zella was so good at keeping in touch. Life brings both sunshine and rain and, together, we laughed and cried. Bill was a balanced family man and enjoyed the simple things in life. He was not one to talk incessantly about his military service but, rather, about the people who meant the most to him. He was interesting to have a conversation with, and best of all, his larger-than-life laugh. He will be missed by so many. Love, Dayrl and Judy Burgess
