Obituary of Anita Peltola

PELTOLA, Anita E.M. – age 75 of Grand Barachois, NB, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness in the comfort of her son’s home in Enfield, NS, with family members by her side on January 11, 2021. Born in Kymi, Finland, she was a daughter of the late Oke and Asta (Makelainen) Broman.

She enjoyed gardening and house plants, golfing as well as watching and feeding the birds. She waitressed in Shediac for over thirty years.  She was a friendly, loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Reijo Peltola; children, Tiina Peltola, Moncton; Tonny Peltola (Cathy), Enfield; grandchildren, Steven (Ashley), Medicine Hat, AB, Jessica (Kenneth Keigan), Timmins, ON; Lucas, Shediac; Matthew and Kenda, Enfield; sibling Ritva (Erkki), Kahkonen, Finland.

She was predeceased by siblings, Yrjo Broman and Birger Broman.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
