WELLWOOD, Carolyn – age 51 of East Hants. It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Wellwood announce her passing on October 9 in the VG Site, QEII Health Science Centre.
Born in Gander, NL she was the daughter of Horace and Grace (Faulkner) Abbott.
Carolyn will always be remembered for her contagious laugh and beautiful smile. She loved to be with family and friends, listen to ABBA and help those around her.
Carolyn leaves to mourn with beautiful memories her husband, Bill Wellwood and children Alex and Kennedy Wellwood. Carolyn is also survived by parents Horace and Grace Abbott and brothers Rodney (Nathalie) and Grant Abbott, as well as many other family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9pm, Tuesday, October 13th in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, October 14th, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. *Please note that Covid-19 provincial restrictions will apply during these events; mask-use and social distancing are in effect.

Carolyn’s family would like to thank the wonderful nurses on floor 5A of the Victoria General in Halifax, as well as Dr. Rutledge, Dr. Colwell, Dr. Ymeri, Dr. Topp and the late Dr. Montgomery.
