Obituary of James Allan Isnor

ISNOR, James Allan “Jim” – age 88 of Elmsdale passed away peacefully in the QEII Health Science Centre, Infirmary Site, Halifax on August 4, 2020. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Nellie (Shatford) Isnor.

Jim was a “Mr. Fix-it”, he could fix anything. Besides being an electrician, he was a refrigeration mechanic. He also enjoyed gardening and many trips with his wife to Florida over the years.

Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Sandra (Mike), Janice (Philip), James “Jim” (Kathy); 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother, Douglas; sisters, Marjorie, Dorothy and Edith.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held 2pm Sunday, August 9^th in Elmsdale Cemetery, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. COVID-19 restrictions will apply.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
