I’m going to miss this uncle of mine who has been such a big part of my life from my earliest memories. I remember being woken by our secret knock on our bedroom wall whenever they’d visit. Then my 2 sisters and I would pile into their bed for such a fun time. I recall many long road trips which was a pretty big deal to 3 youngsters who hardly ever left the farm! Thank you Bea for capturing him so well in his obit...he surely lived life to the fullest. So wish we could be there with you!

Lorne and I were greatly saddened this weekend to hear of Lou’s passing. He and Bea were wonderful friends to our parents, Earle and Blanche Tanner; they all enjoyed the local dances and other social events together very much. Bea and Lou were extremely kind and thoughtful to Mom and the family during her five months of illness. Take good care of yourself, Bea. With deepest sympathy, Helen and Lorne Ferguson

As a young man. He took my brother and my Dad on a bus trip to pick up recruits from Cornwallis. He then another time took us to the Dartmouth Curling Club. A kind man who gave me a few childhood memories. Condolences to all who knew and loved him.

Dear Bea and family, we are very saddened to hear of Lou's passing. It was a great shock and loss and he will be missed a lot by all who knew him. Lou was a great friend to both of us and we had a lot of laughs and great times together. Lou was called away as God seen that he had finished his job here on earth and he needed another angel in heaven. He is now pain free and no more suffering. He will always be just a thought and a memory away,. Al is going to miss Lou a lot. He enjoyed helping him and spending time with you both. Al and Lou would be doing a job together and when they finished the job Al would look at Lou and say "Well Dad, how did I do ?" Lou would just smile. Remember Bea if there is anything Al or I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to let us know. Lots of love and hugs Al and Blanche

Judy & family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like he was an awesome person who fit the role of "Dad" better than "Step-Dad". It's hard for a person to come into a relationship where there is already children present, but it sounds like he made it very easy. You have friends, & family that will help you through this sad time. But most of all you have memories which will also help you. You now have an "Angel" watching over you. Take care of Mom, yourselves, & be careful.
