Obituary of Star Augustine

AUGUSTINE, Starlene Marie, age 39 of Indian Brook, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 6, 2020 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. 

Born in Halifax, to Beaver Maloney and the late Rena Augustine, she was the adopted daughter of Barbara Paul, of Indian Brook. 

Despite her many health issues, Star persevered and lived a full life. She overcame impossible challenges- time and time again, and her courage was inspirational to all who knew her.  Her laugh and her smile were contagious.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Paul, sisters Sarah Paul, Norma Paul, Sunshine Paul and Ashley Augustine, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, great nieces and great nephews. 

Following provincial Covid-19 protocols in respect to social distancing, visitation will begin at 5pm Monday June 8, 2020 at 17 Burma Road, Indian Brook.  A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday at Indian Brook Community Centre, 185 Sesame Street, Indian Brook.  Livestream of the service is available through Star’s memorial on the funeral home website or directly at https://www.distantlink.com/ettingersremote.html   The family appreciates your cooperation in being safe and compliant while honouring Star’s memory at this time.

Burial will follow in St. Catherine’s RC Cemetery, Indian Brook.
