Billy worked at Brookfield Creamery where he took his apprenticeship in refrigeration and air conditioning. He started his own business, Stones Refrigeration. He also did plumbing and heating. Bill was able to fix or rig up pretty much anything. He was a member of the Stewiacke Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years and was the founder of the Stewiacke planked salmon suppers.

He was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who would do anything to help a person out.

He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Stone-McCoul (Michael), Shortt’s Lake; Amanda Stone, Monte Vista, Enfield; grandchildren, Hannah, Ainsley, Luke and Nate; brother, Lloyd (Georgina), sisters in law Anne Mowatt and Beverly (Leonard) Gallant; several nieces, nephews and friends.
