To the Family of Lorna Barr, We were saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. We have fond memories of mom and dad with George and Lorna getting together for visits, parties and card games and the laughter during those times. She was a loyal friend of our family and was great company. Claudette and I remember going out to visit her at the farm during Spring with her Christmas tree still up and fully decorated in a cool room, because she enjoyed it so much. Although I did not know her well, driving through Crombe Road and hearing of the animals being permitted inside the home was always mystifying and a bit of a childhood dream! I met your Mom a couple of times while visiting your home, she was certainly witty and spirited, when I first engaged in conversation with your Mom , I was quick to realize that she was a very strong willed individual and had many of stories to tell along with sharing her experiences that she encountered over time and shared wonderful stories of acquaintances that we both shared in comman! Mom was certainly a beautiful individual that brought light into any room! Lorna was one of those people who was set in her ways but man she made me laugh. We all lived at her son Neil’s place at the same time for awhile and she kept things interesting. Hugs to you all. When we lived beside you all growing up Lorna was always feisty and maybe a little untraditional . I remember pigs and goats and calves running through the house and me climbing on top of the deep freeze to get away from the goat. Lorna laughing the whole time. She will be missed
