Oh Upha , you came into my life 15 years ago as a friend and mother in-law. You broke into my heart and stayed just long enough to teach me about loving myself . You made me feel valued and understood during some very dark times. All you ever asked in return was a simple hug and to be part of our family. Now your time is up and you have to go.
I could spend my days wondering why you were taken from all of us and allow that pain to dictate my belief in the higher power but in the end I would always come back to just loving and missing you. You were such a bright light in our lives that I am incapable of remaining angry about your passing or pointing fingers at God and demanding answers. You never asked why when things didn't go your way, you never once questioned or pointed fingers at fate, you simply picked yourself up and kept moving forward with a grace and dignity that was truly inspiring.You have taught me to except life as it is and that courage and resilience is born from your " glass 1/2 full " mentality.
Thank you Upha for all of this, thank you for walking with my family for all those years , for your huge heart and ability to love fully and unconditionally.
