WALLS, Donald Freeman, 73, of Enfield N.S., passed away peacefully August 15, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, N.S.. Born in Neil’s Harbour, N.S. he was the son of Ellen and the late Joe Walls. He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years, retiring as Sergeant. Don was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Montgomery Branch 133 and served on the executive with pride, finishing off with his honoured term of President in December 2016. He was also heavily involved with the East Hants Soccer Club serving as president as well as being a coach for his children’s teams. He was the proud owner of Don’s Delivery, providing courier service to the East Hants community and surrounding HRM area for 20+ years. He will be dearly missed by his children Rosie Walls, Lantz N.S.; Donny Walls, Halifax N.S.; Dawn Marie Meadus, Comox, B.C.; and Kim Phillips, Cold Lake, A.B.; his girlfriend, Sue Stewart, Upper Musquodoboit, N.S.; his siblings, Judy, Betty and Orman. He was predeceased a sister, Agnes. A Legion Tribute Service will be held 2pm Saturday, August 19 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Enfield, Branch #133. The family would like to thank his close friends Pat Adams and Crystal Lloy for their kind support as well as the wonderful care from the Victoria General ICU Nurses and Doctors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Last Post Fund or a charity of your choice.
