MOMBOURQUETTE, Emily Alice -age 72, died at Northwood Manor, Halifax on February 18, 2017. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of Russell Malcolm McPhee “Bus” (1900-1960) and Ella Elizabeth Miller “Bill” (1917-1970) both of Stewiacke East. Alice was a descendant of James McPhee bc. 1758, died 1842 lived in Hants county Nova Scotia (84th Regiment), born Inverness-shire Scotland. Her husband Clifford Mombourquette pre-deceased her on June 8, 2015. Alice is survived by her son Mark (RCAF) and wife Tammy, grandchildren Madison and Ryan, great grandson Luca, son Wayne and spouse Sandra, grandchildren, twins Amy and A.J. and Vanessa. Alice was also predeceased by her brother Peter (January 25, 2011) and his wife Louise (April 23, 2013) but survived by their son William “Bill” and cousins in Stewiacke East. Alice was active in volunteerism during Cliff's posting to England which was followed by a career in insurance with Travellers (Ottawa) and Zuric (Halifax). In retirement she worked in home support and conducted exhaustive genealogical research. Farewell to a beloved mother who's unwavering love, generosity and support in life will never be forgotten; a truly wonderful mother. Cremation has taken place and a private internment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East, will occur at a later date. Donations to the Truro Historical Society or Pine Grove Cemetery fund.
