Obituary of Karen Marie McDonald-Phillips

PHILLIPS (MCDONALD), Karen Marie– age 53 of Indian Brook. It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Karen Marie on January 25, 2017. Born in Boston, MASS, she was a daughter of Alexander “Sandy Morgan” and Joan Lotti McDonald. Karen’s family and friends will long remember her outgoing personality, sense of humour and her amazing cooking. Besides her mother, she is survived by her estranged husband Albert Phillips and her beautiful children, Zachery Phillips, Robbie Paul and Susan Phillips; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Anne McDonald, Joanne McDonald, Sharon McDonald, Lisa McDonald, Arlene Labrador, Madeline Battiste, Sandra Sack and Lori Johnson; brothers, Ricky Peterson, Alexander McDonald, Michael William McDonald, David McDonald, Stephan Labrador, Joey Sack and Willie Gehue; 46 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; godchildren, Duncan McDonald, Jimmy Nevin, Kyle McDonald and Emily McDonald Karen was predeceased by her father; sister, Anne Marie McDonald and brother, Robert “Bobby” McDonald. Prayer offerings and visitation will begin 6pm Friday, January 27 at her sister Sharon’s home, 16 Eagles Nest Avenue, Indian Brook until time of the funeral service at 2pm Monday, January 30 in St. Kateri’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Cremation will follow. A committal of ashes will be held 3:30pm Wednesday, February 1, in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
