Obituary of Veronica Halverson

HALVERSON, Veronica “Bell” age 82 of Rines Creek passed away Friday August 19, 2016 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Truro. Born in Cambridge, NS, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Nibby and Helen (Morris) Nibby-Simon. Bell enjoyed sewing and bead-work. She was the proud matriarch of her family. She is survived by her children, Anna (John Woods) Nibby-Woods, Jackie Nibby and Wayne Halverson; grandchildren, Russell Woods, Shelly Woods, Adrian Nibby and Cheryl McPhee; great grandchildren, Christian and Nicholas Woods; brothers, James Simon and Ricky Simon; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Halverson; brothers, Ben Morris and John Nibby and sister Annie Ives. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, August 23 in St. Kateri’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Indian Brook. Donations may be made to the Colchester East Hants Health Center, Palliative Care Unit.
